  Kent Zobel MONROE — Kent Zobel, 61, of Monroe, died Monday, June 15, 2015, at his home near Monroe. Kent fought a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer and was a donor to the research of pancreatic cancer. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, June 18, at Gass Haney Funeral Home in Columbus with Pastor Denny Reis officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and 9-10 a.m. Thursday. Memorials may be directed to the family or donor’s choice. Kent was born Sept. 23, 1953, in Columbus to Henry and Mary Jane (Terry) Zobel Jr. Kent attended Columbus High School and graduated in 1972. He then attended Milford College. Kent went to work at Behlen Manufacturing, where he worked for over 35 years. On May 27, 1989, Kent was united in marriage to Linda Proctor in Columbus. He enjoyed riding and restoring motorcycles and also working with gas engines. Kent was a member of the Patriot Guard, Flatland H.O.G. Chapter, Antique Gas Engine Club and Antique Motorcycle Club of America.
